ABOUT THIS SLOT
Guns N Roses is the first in Net Ent’s Trilogy of Rock series of real money slots, which also includes Motorhead and Jimi Hendrix. Played on a standard 5-reel 3-row grid, this is designed as an outdoor concert, complete with moving silhouettes of the crowd and flashing lights by the stage.
This game is fully licensed so you’ll find images of band members Axl, Slash and Duff, alongside classic album covers on the reels, while real GNR tracks play in the background, including Welcome to the Jungle, November Rain and Paradise City. All these visuals and sound effects bring you close to the thrills of a live show!
RTP, VARIANCE AND PAYOUTS
Guns N Roses looks great on all platforms, while the standard layout is simple to grapple with. Although we’d expect these famously temperamental rockers to translate into a highly volatile slot, Guns N Roses has surprisingly stable gameplay. The medium volatility gives a good balance of bets to payouts, while the RTP is above average at 96.98%.
You can choose your own coin value and bet level to tailor your risk each spin and the 20p minimum bet makes the game suitable for all pockets except the very lowest rollers. Look out for the bonus features, including the Legend Spins and Solo Multipliers to achieve the max payout of 75,000 coins.
SYMBOLS AND PAYTABLE
The symbols in Guns N Roses include lead singer Axl, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff, along with the covers from albums Lies and Use Your Illusion 2. You’ll also find two Wild symbols, the band logo and the Appetite for Destruction cross, along with a record bonus symbol. There are also gold high cards covered in intertwining red roses.
The high cards pay the lowest rewards from 50 to 125 coins for 5 matches, while the album covers award 150 or 200 coins for 5 matches. Duff awarding up to 300 coins, Slash pays up to 500 coins and Axl gives the best payout of 750 coins for 5 matches. Landing 5 Axls while playing at max bet level can give you the jackpot of 75,000 coins if you’re lucky with the Solo Multipliers.
GAMEPLAY AND FEATURES
Wilds
The GNR logo (pistols and red roses) substitutes for all other symbols, except the Bonus symbols. These can also appear stacked on the reels for more winning opportunities.
Bonus Wheel
If you spin 3 vinyl record symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5, you’ll trigger the Bonus Wheel. This can reveal either a cash prize up to 600 coins or one of 2 features:
Encore Free Spins
Encore Free Spins awards 10 Free Spins with one band member stacked on the middle reels and acting as Wild.
Crowd-Pleaser Bonus
This Click Me bonus game has 3 levels. You can win coin prizes, +1 pick and Free Spins on each level. Simply choose a musical symbol to reveal your reward. Collecting 60 coins moves you to level 2, where you can pick again. Achieving 240 more coins takes you to level 3 where you can collect 800 coins and double your reward.
Legend Spins
Legend Spins are triggered at random, giving 1 Stacked Wild on spin 1, followed by 2 more spins with 2 more Stacked Wilds.
Appetite for Destruction Wild
This random overlay Wild appears as a cross on the reels, substituting for all other symbols except the Bonus symbols to create more wins.
Solo Multiplier
Solo Multipliers can award 4x to 10x Multipliers at random.
OUR VERDICT
Net Ent welcomes you to the jungle of a near-perfect slot. It’s great fun with 5 sound tracks from the GNR back catalogue, along with smoking visuals and atmosphere. For those less keen on GNR (you crazy?) the music can be turned off, but even the band’s critics will love the features and design here. It’s hard to fault the game at all thanks to the Free Spins, Stacked Wilds, ‘Pick Me’ Bonus and Multipliers, in addition to good RTP and balanced gameplay. This is a sweet child of a slot and it’s so easy to play with just a little patience (sorry!) Brilliant stuff. Well done Net Ent.
